Get to know our exceptional team of Board-Certified Allergist & Immunologist who are deeply committed to providing exceptional care for patients with allergy and asthma. Meet Dr. Don Ellenburg, Dr. Tim Frazier, Dr. Andy Singer, and Dr. Trent Ellenburg

Don Ellenburg, M.D

Dr. Ellenburg, a Knoxville native, is the founding physician of Allergy & Asthma Affiliates. He earned his degrees from the University of Tennessee and completed his pediatric residency and Allergy and Immunology fellowship at the University of Louisville.  He established Allergy & Asthma Affiliates in 1981 and founded the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic of East Tennessee, serving as its medical director for 19 years. He also is a past president of the Knoxville Academy of Medicine. He is board certified in allergy and immunology. Dr. Ellenburg has been married since 1974 and enjoys spending time with his 4 grandchildren. 
Tim Frazier, M.D
Dr. Frazier, a Knoxville native from the Fulton community, earned his undergraduate degree in from the University of Tennessee. After obtaining his Doctor of Pharmacy at UT-Memphis, he became a physician, graduating from ETSU’s Quillen College of Medicine. He completed a combined residency in pediatrics and internal medicine at the University of Louisville, where he was Chief Resident and then went on to the Medical College of Georgia to complete his fellowship in allergy and immunology. He joined Allergy & Asthma Affiliates in 1994.  Outside of work, he enjoys family time, reading, and cattle farming.
Andrew Singer, M.D
Dr. Singer joined our practice in 2007 after teaching at the University of Michigan's Allergy & Immunology Division. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and medical degree from Indiana University. He then completed his pediatric residency at the University of Cincinnati, and his allergy and immunology fellowship at the University of Michigan. In Knoxville, he co-founded Volunteers Educating for Food Allergies (VEFA) and has been the medical director the Food Allergy Community of East. He enjoys teaching medical students and is married with one daughter and enjoys family time, collecting and restoring cars, and reading.
J. Trent Ellenburg, D.O
Dr. Trent Ellenburg joined Allergy & Asthma Affiliates in 2016, returning to his North Knoxville roots. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee. He graduated from The Via College of Osteopathic Medicine-Virginia Campus and completed a combined residency in pediatrics and internal medicine from the University of Mississippi. He completed his allergy and immunology fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and serves on the board of the Southeastern Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Society. Dr. Ellenburg is married with two children and enjoys family time, traveling, playing golf, coaching youth sports, snow skiing, and supporting the Vols.
